A new studio is born

ALEX SCHWEDER LA and PETER HYLANDS are in East Berlin at the site of ALEX’s new studio. The idea is to renovate this space, which was a former bus depot in the old communist days.

Almost a metaphor for ALEX’s work, another building is soon to undergo a complete change in its purpose. The building’s new function is probably well beyond the dreams of its former occupants as creative Berlin continues to grow in to new spaces and places.
